We could go up to the platform, and then for lunch in a sort of bistro not too far from there. It's cute, it's not expensive, and they have a vegetarian meal every day

oh my! But vegetarian sounds good, I'm inclining back to being veggie after a long time "off the wagon"

Well, that would be three of us then : you, fords and me, because I uoften prefer something veggie when eating out ( and lately, when eating at home, too )

I was a vegetarian for years & years - but I've always actually liked the taste & texture of steak, chicken and so on.
And I love junk food.
But I remained veggie for environmental and health reasons, until I was pregnant with Gruesome #2 when I suddenly gave in to my baser instincts.
I don't each much in the way of meat, but when I do...

I've never liked the taste and texture of beef, so when they all went mad in the UK, I simply stopped eating anything with beef in it at all, and I never missed it ( although we were told at the time that German beef was ok, but I knew it couldn't be) . I don't think my boys have the faintest idea of how beef tastes, but they like eating meat, and even ask for it. I have reduced our meat consumption nafter the latest scandals, though.

well, since the latest scandals I am not buying any beef if I haven't actually seen the cow... (possible, I live among farms)
and of course, no chicken, no pork... and we never ever have lamb or veal.
offal is out (The Gruesomes won't eat it) so
I guess we're pretty much veggies again.

Pretty much the same here, except for the odd Bratwurst, Wiener Würstchen, mince meat and Kottlett now and then, but it gets less and less.

I buy really expensive filet steak, have mince it for me, and make Frikadellen for the Gruesomes' breakfast boxes for school.
How is that?
