Well, do sideburns count as facial hair, or more side-of-head hair?

The whole hair thing is a bit wierd. Girls being pressured by our society to shave or trim down everything but their head hair, which is generally rather longer than that of a guy.
Whereas us lads can't really get away with shaving leg, chest or arm hair without being accused of being 'a bit queer'. Or swimmers.
Humm.

I reckon sideburns are facial hair, its on your face for a start, also it wont grow untill puberty strikes so facial hair it is. As for blokes shaving there legs 1)Why 2) I know i'd hate to be called a swimmer.
As for girls forget shaving your pits 7/10 blokes dont care 2/10 will love it and 1/10 will be repulsed so the odds are in your favour (of course I dont think shaving is for the benifit of men, I think its peer pressure amoungst women)

Yeah but why is it OK for a bloke to have hairy pits and bad for a girl (obviously a wild forest on anybody is about as attractive as a bald monkey)?

It's not that good having hairy male-pits. I have to admit, I've shaved them on occasion and I can see why girls go for that skin smooth feel. It's actually quite comfy!

I have never shaved my armpits in my life, and they smell wonderful
Doesn't it sort of rip your skin to shreds, sticking a razor into your armpit?

ali1kinobe Posted Nov 19, 2002
Yeah my skin on my face objects to to being shaved, I'd hate to have razor rash of the pits! (Plus the with hairy pits I can release phreramones, and scare away other alpha males, oh yes).

Thats it! Its not beards that are upsetting but beards on ladies (my gran was similarly afflicted).
BTW have you noticed some women who have a bit of a 'tash try to hide it by bleacking the offending hair? its funny as all it does is draw even more attention, as it is now radiant and golden.

Fair 'nough, and shaving would just make it worse, perhaps leaving it alone would be a better idea.

Yup at least us blokes can grow or remove (depending on current girlfriend/whim)our facial hair with out looking to silly, although I have to admit some of my attempts could easliy go into the big book of bad beards
