Th long story or the short one . I think I'm probably the only one who can tell you the long one. Ask anyone else if you want the short one

Put simply this is a community built around promotion and reward for helping to improve or stick up for it. Our first "fight" (more of a mud slanging match rather than anything particularly vicious) against the leader of The League of Thundercats (whom we have since become friends with), which was at the end of August. This prompted us to set up a battle field page where we could meet other armies and have mock fights, with the idea for a league of armies, and you could get points for winning battles. However, there are not enough mobile (as in most of their people have disapeared somewhere) armies to do this practically, so we are limited to "training" amongst ourselves, and the battle field page nwo appears to be a good recruiting ground. What I plan to suggest is that we start setting different regiments against each other in "friendly" training battles. There are alot of details to be sorted out but thats my idea.
I'm not sure if thats the short version, but the long version would have been much longer. I hope that help

Right. I've already found the War Zone, but I hadn't realized there was actually method in the madness. Thanks for the explaination!

well, the battlefield was my idea, with an ultimate idea of having multiple battlefields, each having different battles on. at first i thought of creating a different page for each, but now i think i'll have them all on the same page.
i'll be adding Ralph to my regiment page soon, and i'm sure u'll soon be getting a promotion ralph.

quite good spook..cept the paper thing is a bit confusing. You keep going forward and backward and twisting things around, otherwise I really like it

Ah yes, I guess it does look as though I have nicked one of FWT's ideas... , I can't remember where he said it, but I do recall he said something along those lines. I knew it was too good to be one of my ideas . That said The Army was my idea. And that was the worst idea ever wasn't it

*shudders*
What a horrible thought . No war with the Thundercats. Owltron wouldn't have gone through that ordeal he put himself through. Terrania, (and ALF) probably wouldn't exist. The numerous weird things that go on in the battle field wouldn't happen. Would spook still be spook, and not orangefish? And we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
I guess we will never know. We have permanently left our mark on h2g2. Lets make it a big one!

well, the paper thing may be confusing for those who don't understand how it works. i think i have it so each papar begins in a new para, and begins in 2002, so each para begins the story of that paper. i have high hopes for future papers on h2g2, as i think the competition caused by them could be exellent. also, once i have finished the future of dna article i am gonna submit it to the editors desk, wait for it to probably be rejected, then submit it to the post and try and get it to become the first post article to be held on a different dna site, something i believe will bea future of the post if u read the article.
- he single handedly made the terranic army big by giving it great promotion, getting loads of new members, being a great second in command and creating the battlefield page that even today is bringing in new soldiers like ralph into the terranic army. i gladly except your gratitude and rimmer from red dwarf salutes!

Some Nosense : "Like a big swirly thing in a blob we came, through the midsts of cyberspace. No one expected us, and were quite frankly disappointed when we came, but there is in no doubt that it was a shock."
"The heading 'The Terranic Army', and the contents saying 'Current Members: General Terran', seemed harmless enough. But they were wrong, as it was only mostly harmless. Even that is only half right."
"And that was just a start. New members flocked to join, like half interested people with morbid curiousity. Now light months later, we stand like proud big swirly things in a blob..."
"The legend continues...."

u forgot to mention that all u needed to do to get a promotion when General terran was in charge of everything was to take him to the pub and get him totaly pissed.
