I have met the band a couple of times and they are about the coolest guy's I have met. I am short on time but will be back to tell you all I know very soon. I might even get in touch with them to tell them of your projest and have them send some info your way.

hello shoal,
i see you're a shoe person.
I once had some white shoes without laces, they looked like they were made on an other planet. but they probably weren't. i think Nike made them.
anyway, i'd appreciate it if you could talk to me a little about Ween. For instance, every seen a live concert? You've met them? Thats great, where did you meet them? What did you talk about?
What were their shoes like?
When I saw them live, they were bare foot.
well thanks

er, Dean was bare foot, and Gene wore sandles rather. I suppose it doesn't matter much. but you never know.

I have seen them live four times all in Dallas, TX. I met them too of the times. As far as I remember they were barefoot every time. I have a great story about nearly burning Dene's foot with a joint I had thrown up on stage and will send it soon as well as tons more. You should also talk to a old freind of mine @ http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U162108 She has seen them three times I belive and had a Boognish wedding at Burning Man. She has not been on h2g2 in a while but I emailed her to check her page after she gets back from this years Burning Man.
Will write real soon, Shoal
ps I JUST BECAME AN ACE!!!!

One bit of info is Claude Coleman the drummer and a h**l of a guy had, what I understand to be a fairly bad car wreck a little while back. Ween is playing a gig to raise money for the bills soon. http:/www.ween.com I have a photo I took of Gene the first time I met them and I had him sign it the next. And I had the whole band sign the back of my leather. As far as the bootleg thing goes my freind was recording one of the shows we were at and a security guard took the tape. My freind moved to a different speaker and poped in a new tape and recorded the rest of the show. After the show my freind found Dene and he found the security guard and demanded he give back the tape. So we got it back in the end. I tell you they are all h****a good guys.
More to Come, Shoal

Icnavagata, hi
You seem to no longer be subscribed to the thread it Writing Workshop. I just posted some comments there on your Ween entry. Here's a link: F57153?thread=205225
BTW, I've also seen them in Dallas - twice, I think. I guess it would have been the... Chocolate and Cheese tour - I broke my finger during 'Captain Fantasy', and The Mollusk tour - when they played 'Frank' because it was so squishy inside the club. Also, I saw them in Albuquerque in... '99 or 2000 - some chick got on stage with her shirt off and lactated on the band and the audience! Awesome shows, all of 'em.

I've updated the material section adding side projects such as Z-rock Hawaii. The article is nearly ripe for the peer review.

You might or might not want to link to it, but there's a good (slavishly complimentary) band bio at Barnes and Noble:
