A Conversation for Anglo-Saxon is NOT a Race

I quite agree that we shouldn't judge people by race, colour, creed or other irrelevant criterion. smiley - ok

But I read in the New Scientist that non-Africans have a small amount of Neanderthal DNA. So perhaps Africans could say to Europeans "You're Neanderthals. We Africans have been homo sapiens longer than you!"

I have Neanderthal genes. I am sure of this. So was my German dentist, when he pulled the fused molar out of my mouth. (Wisdom tooth, huge thing.) I read somewhere that Neanderthals had these fused molars.

by 'eck this is a very philosophical thread - my lizard brain cannot find the words right now to respond, and yet fine writing mister DG, as always and ever. I feel forever a deep pain in my tiny heart when I think about division and cruelty and it all, and it usually takes me beyond verbal expression -

and then there is the lizard brain. I once knew someone who was so into the idea of a part of the human brain that is reptilian, that he talked to me about it for many many nights, until one day I awoke and felt akin to iguanas everywhere. Are lizards reptiles? Is any of this relevant? No. It is quite interesting though. I think all humans have a part of the brain that is reptilian, but I'm not sure, so I am going now.

Cactuscafe, if Neanderthals became Europeans, some lizards learnt to fly and became birds.

A bird brain would be great, because you could see life from an altogether different perspective. smiley - smiley

Yuh. smiley - rofl.

smiley - rofl On stage tonight .... the potential is infinite. smiley - rofl I would like to play the part of an atom. That's a test for the costume department.

And now I shall consider flying lizards, and the flying-brain of a bird. I don't think I would like to become total bird. That might be too birdie for me. I would like to still be me, but with the brain of a flying lizard-bird also. Sort of thing, like. Do I feel a story coming on? I don't know, said I to I, eye to eye with evolution. smiley - rofl.
