I think this is a bit short... what are your opinions?

It could be combined with a variety of well known 'aids' for black eyes, such as the raw steak (although i am afraid I dont know what the actual reason it works is), or by making it a more generalised article on the reduction of bruising. But its certainly a trick i didnt know before!

Thanks for the suggestion...
This is my first time submitting an entry, so i was wondering if i can just make changes now, or do i have to wait?

Try this. Put your silver ring with the egg, leave for a while, have a look. The ring will have a black coating. This is what happens with silver and eggs. (Also silver and lutefisk, but since the entry doesn't mention that it's not really relevant.) It's a chemical process that doesn't do anything with any hypothetical 'toxins' in a black eye. Any bruise will noticeably change overnight, but cold (raw meat) or hot (egg) applied to it might have an additional effect. smiley - devil

Shh. Don't tell anyone... smiley - winkeye
I don't think i actually say that it's the toxins and stuff that are on the ring...

The egg thing does work, becaus I had this swelling on my eye for a few days for no reason, so i tried the egg, and the swelling seemed to go down a bit quicker....

If someone suggests something, can I put it in my guide entry?
(Eg. What Sir Mort said about the raw meat?)

Yes, you can put it in the entry. That's what peer review is about. If it's something major, you should credit them on the researchers list.

Is it not quite painful to rub a handkerchief with a metal ring 'firmly' against a black eye?

Can't say I fancy trying that one. As with all swellings, would you not be better off with something cold, like a bag of frozen peas?

It sdoesn't hurt because the ring is "padded" by the egg white...

I like short simple and to the point. You could do more research and find more ways to help a black eye. smiley - cheers
