I cannot stand it when a guy can't make eye contact or talks directly to the floor, body part, or friend. Shy is different from submissive and submissive doesn't have much appeal for most girls. I love the shy types and there's nothing more frustrating than waiting and waiting to be asked out. It's better to have a jump of bold and be turned down. What gets me about this whole dating stuff is why the smeg cant it be equal? the onus is always on the guy. If it seems pretty obvious there might be a connection or even if its just the girl who's interested then why cant she get her lazy behind over to the guy?!

Oh, that's a good point actually. I've found if you let a person teach you something eg Steetfighter (or if you teach another person, whichever) it's really good for getting close to someone. So long as you can cope with being teased about your incompetence!
