I've wrapped some of the information at the end back into the entry itself, but the major tinkering here was with the second half of the third paragraph. I'm actually quite intrigued by the idea that presenting himself as basically the inventor of the lumber and timber industries may have been part of Philetus Sawyer's political campaigning ... but, on closer inspection, this wasn't the case
