Depends... If you peoples decide to become one unified nation you're gonna need one. But then again, I seriously doubt a unified Europe. All those culture clashes... There should be an international law, but perhaps not a written constitution.

Well, lemme put it this way... When I'm in the United States, I can be in Alaska or Arkansas or Alabama, but they still speak the same language and have generally the same culture. Now, when I'm in Europe, I can't say that about Belgium or France or Italy, or England for that matter, now can I? A common currency makes sense, a common country, no.

I'm not saying a single country: just shared laws, we're already over half-way there, because of shared economic laws, the economic is now the political, so why not go the whole hog?

You actually have a point there...
Yet there's still the problem of cultural differences, really. Laws are simply the standards of a society written down, and that could get really weird trying to mesh them...

I don't see why... the major difference between the US and the EU is that the EU has a number of languages...there it ends, because there are many cultural differences in the US, but they all come together under a large umbrella of laws, and then each state has a smaller umbrella of laws as well, making them unique...
