You've outdone yourself, Clive! Well done!
And we've been blobbed!
Just a couple of things:
The R2D2 cooler was purchased for TJ as a birthday present by his sisters. And it was, of course, why I married him.
Please be assured that I asked for no "disco" when giving a music list to the DJ ... alas, he didn't listen to me.
Finally, the bouquet and the garter. It's an interesting tradition, and you guys missed what is usually the most ... engaging ... part. My 9 year old niece (a junior bridesmaid) caught the bouquet. She didn't know what this meant until we explained it to her, and then she burst into tears. My new nephew caught the garter. Traditionally, after that momentous event the guy who catches the garter gets to put it on the leg of the gal who caught the bouquet. It usually leads to friendly pawing depending on the participants. Needless to say, this thoroughly traumatized my niece, and when we all realized how upset she was, we passed over the garter placement. Another thing of note is that the proud garter-catcher usually puts the garter on the rearview mirror of his car as a cool decoration. Even though TJ didn't catch any garter, he *did* remove mine later in the evening, and is now sporting it on *his* rearview mirror ... men ...

It certainly sounds like a magical day - apart from the early worries about transport!
I hope you didn't mind me 'borrowing' a couple of your pics Shea - things just transpired and Clive didn't quite get his back in time. Send me the link when they are ready Clive and I'll drop it in.
And - belated congratulations from all The Post Team You look wonderful together.
*Wonders how you managed in 6 months what she and TM haven't got around to in 3 years*

Hey, Clive! And thanks, shazz!
It only took 6 months because we so desperately wanted to be together! I guess with him living so far away from me, it just inspired us to move things along. You also have to take into account our advanced ages! We don't have all that much more time, and have to get on with things!
I don't mind that you borrowed some piccies. I'm sure my friend Roy will be pleased.

Just got back.
The shop now says the cd's I ordered will be ready on Doobry (Saturday) - 'pparently they've got staff off and there's a backlog on the photos to be processed.
On the plus side I did get my graduation photos back today that my parents took. They are all very nice.

No worries Clive - good to hear that the graduation ones turned out well anyway.
So true Shea - I met TM IRL in October and moved here to Holland at the beginning of the following April - we just never seem to get around to setting a date - things keep cropping up (like trips to the UK for Meets! LOL)

So I guess if this is the H2G2 wedding of the year I can't get married before January then.

Oh, I don't think any of the other researchers would mind having more than one "Wedding of the Year!"
Nice work on the story your Warlordship Sir! You make it sound so exciting!
