A barrage of freshly-grown grass on this crisp lawn speaks for itself. This is the premier showcourt in the Club, and only with express permission may one be allowed to play on it. It is the apple of the Club's eyes, and any sabotage is treated seriously by the management. As the premier showcourt, it is dedicated to Patrick Rafter; Rafter is considered as the metaphorical tennis deity of the Club.

Currently, you see a young player wearing a baseball cap backwards on his head practising his lobs... though not a grass-court specialist he is practising his game on the grass surface...
