The Interrogation of Juan Carlos Ferrero
caper_plip Posted Jul 17, 2002
Nah, I took him for a drink afterwards. He's perfectly fine now. Was hoping to pump him for more information but I think that was enough for today...

Well, we know now that Ferrero was indirectly involved in the mystery. Regarding one of the females... I'd be inclined to think about winners of the Australian Open and Roland Garros...

Serena, and was it Capriati in Sydney? I can't recall

Yep... Capriati kept her title! And she really wants to win SW19... I remember her crying after her loss to Justine Henin in 2001...

so that's why the courts were so slow this year!
not the sodding groundsman's fault at all - just Serena and Capriati in collusion with Ferrero.
but it's unlikely to be both right?

Remember... Xavier said that he saw one woman... and Gambill saw one woman sneaking past... are they the same or different?

*is very confused*
Xavier thought his was attractive - ergo Capriati
and Ferrero left the door open for someone - Serena bullied him?

Or it could just be Capriati sneaking about at 4:00am... I think Serena would be too busy doing photo shoots to bother with court change... and as she won Wimbledon... there'd be no point, I think...
The Fifth Clue!
caper_plip Posted Jul 22, 2002
The Club referee says that he saw two South American players looking rather shifty on the 6 July 2002. Ferrero seemed quite nervy of Serena and Capriati kept giving the South Americans strange looks...

my life!
Dr Watson here struggling to keep up...
so we have Ferrero seeing two South American players - Kuerten, yes? and Lappenti perhaps?
and of the women - Capriati the main candidate?
The Fifth Clue!
caper_plip Posted Jul 31, 2002
So, that gives us a line-up of:
Gustavo Kuerten
Nicolas Lapentti
Jennifer Capriati
Juan Carlos Ferrero (unintentional accessory)
Got it in one! There's enough proof there to accuse all four of them of sabotage (Ferrero on a lesser charge of being an accessory).
Now to think of a punishment... any thoughts?

oh, they can carry my bags for me when I go on holiday next week. I promise they'll be heavy...

I'll let them know! I have to say, that Ferrero still has no idea of what the hell is going on Will get the case notes done as well!
