N'kai how powerful are these people?

Wargamer (The Wanderer)

[N'kai] Not match for me, but better than most... maybe even my men...
*Swings up to block a Witch Elf's blow. They seem wild and savage, with no fear of death, and an immunity to pain. N'kai's first blow is too shallow, and the Witch Elf barely recoils. The second decapitates her.*
[N'kai] Defensive formation! Repel them!

*Nekyeur impales a Witch, but is forced backward before he can recover his sword. He pulls out a long, wicked dagger, and fights to defend himself.

N'kai has no such difficulties, killing two in a bloody melee.*

*N'kai impales a final Witch Elf, and surveys the scene. Three of his men had died in the encounter. They'd need replacing...*
[N'kai] Let's go find more recruits...
*The men that remain disperse, heading for nearby houses. Nekyeur slices the lock of the nearest, killing the Elf woman inside before she can react. He comes out a minute later, carrying a baby boy. The blood on his sword and armour suggested he'd found more people within.*
[Nekyeur] The father had spirit. This one will make a good warrior in time...
*N'kai said nothing. The cold was coming in fast, and even for Naggaroth, the weather was harsh.*
[N'kai] Be quick. I want to meet Severus soon to deliver our "recruits". Nekyeur, babysit Phoniex and Chronos, I'll be back soon.
*N'kai leaves quickly, leaving Nekyeur behind, looking annoyed.*
[Nekyeur] I hate when he does this... but I hate this child's bawling more... Come on.

*calls after n'kai* I DO NOT NEED BABY SITTING I hate it when he goes all quite

Wargamer (The Wanderer)

[Nekyeur] Don't need babysitting? Hmph. Sure. If it weren't for us, you'd be dead by now, or worse...
*Nekyeur and the other Black Knights gather in a small town square. Many are carrying babies or young children. Those old enough to realise the danger are scared and wet-eyed. Terrified as to what will become of them. All Naggaroth children know of Death Night, but few ever believe it will happen to them. Nekyeur doesn't wait long before making a decision.*
[Nekyeur] We leave without N'kai. It's a long and dangerous journey to Severus' city. The weather's getting worse. If we don't move soon, these brats will freeze. Besides, we're pushed for supplies as it is... Break out the cloaks! We've got a long journey ahead...
*A small group of men head off to collect the supply cart from the docks. There is precious little food or water, and not enough furrs to go around. Nekyeur took one, along with the regiment's musician and standard bearer. The younger, less experienced members were left to go without, as were the children they had abducted.*

Wargamer (The Wanderer)

[Nekyeur] Well, you're of value after all... Quick pace! If N'kai wants us, he can damn well catch up!
*The party head out into the wastes of Naggaroth, heading south along the coast. For all their armour, the Black Knights can move at a terrifying pace. Chronos was put on the cart as a lookout, Phoniex with him. N'kai's enchantments had worn off, restoring Phoniex to normal. The journey was harsh. Two of the infants died in the start of the journey, and the rest suffered badly from cold. Those old enough to know what was happening had the sense to stay quiet.*

[Nekyeur] Better they die now than at our destination. The weak die, the strong live. You will understand when we reach the city...
*A screech echoes from behind the party. A giant beast, with the body of a lion and great, bat-like wings, swoops down from the hills. A Manticore.*
[Nekyeur] Move! Move with haste! I will kill any man who falls behind! Move!
*Somehow, the Knights pick up speed. The Manticore watches them go, but has no interest. It is either unsure of its chances at capturing its prey, or is not seeking food. They press on for some time more, until Nekyeur calls a rest.*
[Nekyeur] We'll take food and water. Not much, though. Running on a full stomach is not wise...
*Nekyeur turns to Phoniex and Chronos.*
[Nekyeur] So how did you discover Lord N'kai? You hardly seem the type he would be interested in, except perhaps as a victim.

I met him at the Evadian arms I took him on and didnt back down like most. Then we went to war together at the Green Legion and I destroyed the control tower. We get on all right when we're fighting on the same side

[Nekyeur] You didn't back down? A good quality. Never back down, never show weakness, and never retreat once battle is joined. Those are the words we live by. Those are the words we die by. Enjoy the stop while it lasts, we move soon...
*Nekyeur looks over at the caravan. Another of the captured is dead, and three more are looking weak.*
[Nekyeur] The cold will kill them all at this rate. The weak may die, yes, but even the strong will not last out here. We may soon begin to die also... We move! We move now! We will soon be to the city!

Post 59

Wargamer (The Wanderer)

[Nekyeur] A little known place... Come.
*The party entered the city gates, and headed for a secluded basement. Nekyeur led them inside, and tapped a certain brick...
A door swung open silently on well-oiled hinges. He ushered the warband inside, and closed the door behind him.*
[Nekyeur] Welcome to our barracks.
*"Barracks" did nothing to describe the giant chamber. It was an underground training falicity, encampment and dungeon all in one. There were at least 100 Elves hidden away in here, many were almost albino white, as if they'd never been exposed to sunlight.
A crippled Elf came over to the party. The right side of his face was a mess, and that eye was useless. His left arm was missing, and he walked with a limp, crouched as if he'd been kicked in the groin. His voice was croaky, and he seemed to "hmm" continuously. Nekyeur guestured to Chronos and Phoniex.*
[Nekyeur] We have guests. I'll leave them with you. I've got the replacements to deal with...
[Tekiir] Hmm. Fine, yes. Hmm. Come. Hmm. Come with me.
