A Conversation for Quests of Middle Earth
Terror in the Dark...
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Started conversation Feb 17, 2003
Rumours speak of a dark terror, a brutal monster that drains the blood of any who stray into its grasp, and enslaves their corpse to its service with dark magic. A vampire.
No-one knows if the stories are true, but they also speak of vast treasures lurking within its den. Treasure enough to entice a few daring sell-swords...
The Adventure begins in New Evad, just outside the town.

*Tavair walks over, carrying a large sack of supples.*
[Tavair] You'd better stock up too. I'm still trying to find more heroes to join us.

[Tavair] Excellent. Here, take these...
*Tavair hands out two disks of obsidian, like the one he recovered from the bar.*
[Tavair] These will allow us to remain in contact, in case we get separated.

[Tavair] The forests ahead are old and dark. Many men have entered, many do not return. Even my people, who live in this land, are often led astray by these woods, and the denisens within...

[Tavair] Very well. Onwards!
*Tavair leads the party into the forest. He leads with confidence, moving with a fluid grace more commonly seen in Wood Elves. He stops repeatedly, ensuring that his comrades can keep pace. Eventually, the party comes across a river. It is at least 30 meters across. The water is dark, and while not fast flowing, gives an impression of relentless strength.*
[Tavair] Hmm... this could be a problem. There used to be a bridge here, but it seems to have been washed away... We are losing the light. My race can see well in the dark, but I do not know about you. If you wish, we can make camp here tonight.
