Iwas walking through this park last night and otherwise calm water was bubbling in many places. My wife and I abandoned our plans to walk our favorite bridge. There was lots of steam, which is always good for a night walk, but more fenced off areas and dodgy looking ground.

Apparition, are you saying that things are beginning to happen in the Rotorua area at this moment?

Definately more steam and bubbles in that park than usual. A few years ago the Rotorua district council restricted thermal heating and ever since there has been more activity.

Just to let you know - if you click on the "Update me about conversations" link on the Living Earth page, I am posting regular updates about major phenomena around the world.

Also, we should be getting our own picture blob in the next few days!

Hi DoctorMO - yes, that's me! Its a bit of a "pet project" for me, as I have become very interested in geology and earth-science topics over the past while, not to mention that the whole thing gives me some practice with Guide ML! I'll try to update the page as often as I can, but if you have any suggestions on how I can develop the page, I am very keen to know.

One way to make your page stand out, is when you do an artical for the post, get one it's Graphics people to do you a nice graphic that would complement your page and then just ask for the blob number.

(like me, I'm a Post Graphics Artist)

Are you thinking of something in addition to the title blob that was created for me last week, and is on all the LE pages, plus the Post article that appeared on Thursday A787935 ? (I'm really happy with this blob BTW - thanks to Shazz).

If I could have a topical blob depending on the article I am developing this would be really good. Thanks for the suggestion!
