Having just read your piece in the Post, I was taken back to the early hours of this morning, and a radio programme on BBC world service, about Yellowstone park, and how it is now known to e the largest active volcano, something, which, in the programme they seemed to indicate wasn't known till recently, I can't remember much of the details of the programme, but thought it might be of interest, guess it must have been on at about 2 AM GMT, though I could be wrong it might be on teh world service site, I'm not sure

Hi 2legs! I must check this. Yes, there is a super-volcano stuck underneath Yellowstone, it explodes every 600,000 years or so, and guess what, the last eruption was 600,000 years ago! We might still have a few centuries though so no point getting volcano insurance just yet. I must check up on some good links to this and if I do, I will add them to the main LE page.
Thanks again!

Yeh, they said it was 'overdue', though volcanos arn't as faithful as 'old faithful' Though from what they said, should it erupt, the affect would be worldwide, because of dust and stuff thrown up high, and blown round the world, altering global tempurature
