These three tips are the first part of student survival at the University of Oklahoma.

If it's the first part then it is a great start
But I'm not sure how it holds up as an entry on it's own. I don't think the editors would let it in as it stands. I love the tip about how to make money out of the Football (American? Soccer?) matches. But apart from that there's little else about the University of Oklahoma (which is the title of the entry).
If I were you I'd write those other parts and put them into a single entry entitled "Tips for Surviving the University of Oklahoma", or something similar.
Hope this helps and keep up the good work!

Sorry to butt in on your conversation, but if researcher 195797 would go back to there own page and click on the "EDIT PAGE"button and write a little something about yourself , then an "ACE",(Assistant Community Editors), can come and welcome you there properly. Sorry for the interuption.

Actually, with a title change to 'Surviving Saturdays at the University of Oklahoma in the Autumn When You're Not a Football Fan' this entry would be perfect.
Perhaps a mention of the football team's name and other incidental particulars about 'big-time' college football in Oklahoma and this one would be ready for the Edited Guide.
You might want to also add that going to a local tavern when the local team is playing an away game will be a bad idea because of all the fans shouting, screaming and throwing things at the television set.
Good first entry!

Hi melaniegail.
What do you think of my suggestion higher up in this thread?
Since Peer Review is for finished entries, perhaps you could move it to the Writing Workshop to tweak it further and then resubmit it to Peer Review?
I really think this entry has a lot of good potential, but I reckon you just need to narrow the focus a bit.
Let us know what you think!

I think a title change is in order for sure (I wasn't very creative there)and I appreciate the other suggestions as well. There is so much to be said about American footballs fans and the teams they love, and the Oklahoma Sooners really have their own brand of fan. I think I can beef up the entry for sure.
I wasn't quite sure how all this worked when I wrote that entry, but I'm getting the hang of it now. I'll put it through the writing workshop. This is a lot of fun.

So do you want this entry removed from Peer Review while the other is in the Writing Workshop?

Yes, what do I need to do. I am sure there are very clear instructions somewhere that I have missed.

On the Peer Review page, there should be a 'remove' link beside the name of your entry that will allow you to remove it from PR. I believe the link is at the far right beside the Researcher ID of the person who wrote the entry (in this case you).
But you must be on the actual PR page, you can't do it from the forums.

btw: I'm looking forward to seeing this one come back from the WW. I think it's one of those *great* topics that are just filled with 'unconventional wisdom'. I went to an NCAA Div II school and it was a very similar scene there (except for the team being on tv in bars on 'away' Saturdays). It's just one reason I lived on the other side of town from the football stadium.
