*standing, admiring the oricalcium pistol, perse and nikki walk up behind him and whisper that the job is done. "guards" whispers inter*

OK, WELL IT'S LATE SO I'M GONNA HEAD HOME

*walks over to guard at far corner and starts to ask for direction*

*as perse and nikki engage the other guards, a collosal explosion is heard and the museum walls crack. the guards spin around and get simultaniously knocked out cold*

right! the hard bit's over, it's plain sailing from here on out, look

*points, the doors and windows to the room had started glowing red*

automatic magical enforcements, no interruptions, now all we have to do is claim our treasure and we can bust outta here. but of course, any dirruption of an exibit and a trap door opens, transporting the exibit to a sealed room, beyond our reach.

*grinning at the others, inter seizes a metal pole, removes the velvet rope and rams it through the case underneath the gun, preventing the trap door from opening*

did i mention? im pretty awesome!

*rolls eyes*

*smashes the case and seizes the gun, pointing it at the wall, it begins to crackle and glow, then a collosal wall of thunder explodes out and the wall is blasted away. inter collapses to the ground, breathing heavily*

...... let's go

*draggs Inter towards hole in wall*

*staggers to his feet, looking remarkable like ena after travelling through the portal, then passes out, the gun clatters to the floor*

*general commotion and activity begins to arrise around the explosion, the breaking of the walls had broken the magical enforcements and the guards had burst in. Inter, slowly coming to, feebly reaches into his pocket and hands a small, spherical stone device with a glowing blue core to nikki*

use...your..magic

*picks up gun*

Just think how annoying that would have been if we'd left it

*as nikki holds the stone the core glows brightly and inter, perse and nikki vanish, they re-appear in a dark musty room filled with boxes and a single bed in the corner, inter begins to come to*

my safehouse... edge.. of town

*lil gives a the cart a hefty shove into the portal, just as an explosion blinds her. Letting go of the cart, she staggers through the portal*

'Here's one of them!' shouts a rough voice....

*opening her eyes lil finds she's surrounded by guards and the cart carrying Ena and her chest is gone!*

*the following morning inter shudders for unknown reasons*

anyway, morning all! sinse i've been out for several hours it's probably unnecessary, but let me show you around!

*inter's safehouse consists of 4 almost identical rooms, all dark, musty and piled high with cardboard boxes, a couple of them contain mouldy armchairs and one with a cupboard of non-perishable food, in one room there are two large, ornate, padlocked treasure chests*

dont even think about it (*noticing the glint in perse's eyes*) they're empty and booby trapped anyway, designed to trap intruders. all the real important treasure is.... pfft! yeah, like i'll tell you

*rumages through a box and produces a small treasury box, opens it and hands nikki 100 gold and perse her remaining 70 gold*

there! now we're even!

*produces a new pair of boots from a box and puts all the food in the cupboard into his bag*

now come on, let's go! i feel bad about leaving lil and ena, with ena in her condition!

*the small group set off into the forest, inter happily leading the way, occasionally drawing the pistol and twirling it around his finger a few times before dropping back in its holdster, after a few hours, they come across lil, sitting on her own*

lil?! LIL! whats wrong? wheres ena??

*lil looks dazed*

I .... dunno...

We went through the portal - there was a huge explosion...

I... I... found myself surrounded by guards... and Ena was gone!

One moment I'm on the streets, the next I am here... alone.


*scratches at the leather of her boots with a stick*

well? did they use magic? if so then perhaps we can trace them

*holds his hand out flat and blue streaks of electricity crackle along it, starts to turn slowly*

*the crackles on inter's hand intensify*
