*Picking up bits and pieces of canvas she comes across her rucksack, which appears relatively unscathed. She is barely listening to what the mage is saying to Ena until...*

*Once again the mage has the full attention of lil*

*startled by lil's sudden attention*

errm, i dunno, it's an old relic, i think it was my grandads?

you should know i also have an electric bomb dispencer and a micro-kinetic device that can unlock doors here

*gestures to tool belt*

*lil looks across at Ena*

Do you think he's telling the truth about his Grandfather?

It's very similar to one I've seen before.... in a friends laboratory...

*lil walks slowly to the trees and slumps down against the trunk of one of them*

yeah, i found it when i was raiding his attic once, i think he collected magical artifacts (he's dead now)

*inter pauses for a moment to reflect on his lost grandparent*

i didn't really know him that well, he was always off on expeditions looking for new treasures (the lock opener was his aswell, but i made the electric bomb dispenser)

*lil mutters quietly to herself*

His attic rooms in the tower....


*In silence, she begins to let her memories come back*

*trying hard to listen to lils muttering*

tower? no... he lived in a village on the south coast

*lil, enraged, jumps to her feet*


He must have stolen them from the ruins!... Give them to me! ..


*Her eyes have a glow of insanity*

*quickly re-attatching the tool belt to his waist, inter leaps to his feet, his hair crackles and turns electric blue, his expression shows rare anger*

*As she advances on the mage, a voice only she can hear softly says:*

'Leave it be, lil. You will need this child's help for what is ahead'


*Tears flow at the memory of his voice, it is long since she has heard him, yet the pain is still as sharp as one of her knives*


*She storms away, stomping the mages boots in all the muddy puddles on the way*

*re-sheithing his electric bomb dispencer, inter watches, confused, as lil stomps off. shrugging, he bites into one of his apples*

*watching all this silently, she offers inter a rare smile*

Don't worry about her, I'll go...

*Following Lil, she catches up and lays a hand on her friend's shoulder*

Hey... what was all that about?

*shrugs Ena's hand away*

*hearing a twig snap behind him, inter is immediatly on his feet, he draws 3 spheres, the size of marbles, from his bomb dispenser and throws them into the woods, where they explode with a crackle of lightning*

*steps sheepishly out from behind a tree*
