Voice from outside, and a certain pointy-eared babe swings in from the roof.
[Miseri] "Let's hope you don't speak that way in front of your own mother, sweetie."
(Looks at Phoenix)
[Miseri] "Hi."
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Jan 25, 2003

*Smiles at Miseri.*
[N'kai] I never had the chance. She died in childbirth.

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Jan 26, 2003

Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Jan 26, 2003
[N'kai] how about your Father?
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Jan 27, 2003
he was too busy running the country to notice he had a daughter. He died about 150 years ago!
But i don't mind, i was raised by my aunt until she died. My cousin is regent until i get back.
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Jan 27, 2003
[N'kai] Really? And what does this "regent" do?
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Jan 27, 2003
dont you know? well its someone that rules over a kingdom until the rightful ruler can fufill the duty of the throne
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Jan 27, 2003
[N'kai] Ah. Evadians call them "King of Arms". Their "King" isn't actually their ruler, he's just minding it until Nuln, their God and True King, returns to them. Foolish sentiment in my opinion.

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Jan 27, 2003
yes it sounds silly. strange customs
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Jan 27, 2003
[N'kai] Except that Nuln is real. I was but a boy, but I remember his ascention. It filled my people with a sence of power and majesty... But I do not believe he will return, not unless someone follows him to the heavens, and brings him back to this world...
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Jan 27, 2003
yes or a insentive brings him down

Meanwhile, Miseri has gotten comfortable in N'kai's wagon, having fluffed up several cushions and helped herself to the fruit basket. In between bites she says:
"You poor - CRUNCH - motherless - CRUNCH - ... people... - CRUNCH- what sort of incentive would it take? Most of 'em in heaven won't descend for nothing less than a virgin sacrifice. - CRUNCH-."
"I'd volunteer, but I'm long disqualified."

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Feb 1, 2003
*laughs* i just ignore the gods here, my own gods have chosen ones so reguraly come down
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Feb 1, 2003
[N'kai] Sacrifices serve no purpose than to give priests a job... unless you desire Dark Gods...
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Feb 1, 2003
*shudder* gods dark ones especially are vengeful but angry dark ones are hard to deal with, i couldnt bring down an angry dark god even at the top of my game
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Feb 1, 2003
[N'kai] Then you finally admit I am superior?
*N'kai grins at Phoniex. He doesn't seem to look right without a blade in his hand, like a man without an arm or leg; incomplete.*
The Green Legion: Siege of Talabhiem
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Feb 1, 2003

"Wheee!" Voice from above. Miseri had climbed to the roof and now enjoyed the view with a bottle of wine.
"Um, I see something," she commented, between swigs of red. Scanning the distance with Elven eyes:
"It's a caravan under attack!"
