*N'kai looks over at Phoniex.*
[N'kai] endangers us? My deer little D'ksajen^, what could you possibly know...
^= D'ksajen is an old Elven word, now long since lost to history. It means "animal" or "inferior race", with mocking over-tones...
...Not that anyone other than N'kai would know that.

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 21, 2002
as you say my dear syaveo* you have no idea of the extent of my gifts nor my strength in my gifts so i would be careful not to patronise me.
*syaveo is a nymphian term for respected one, but normally used in referance to an enemy or a neutral person.

[N'kai] Your... strengths are as important as a crossbow against a castle. I have had 5,000 years to practise my art... Ah, Essenvage, our first camp.
*The army enters the village. Tents are set up, and the army prepares to rest. Hawk, Gryphon, Pathos and N'kai are sat in the local tavern, exchanging stories.*

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 21, 2002
*walks into the tavern and sits down* by the way n'kai how do you know how old i am?
The Green Legion
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 21, 2002
[N'kai] Younger than me, I guarantee it.
The Green Legion
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 21, 2002
it seems strange to me that most of your knoledge comes from assuming exactly how old are you
The Green Legion
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 21, 2002
[N'kai] I'm 5,000 years old... and I've fought in enough battles to know I am the best. Ask anyone...
*Gryphon looks into the fire, Pathos takes a swig of ale, Hawk nods in agreement.*
[N'kai] See.

Tal'Set Posted Dec 21, 2002
*A mighty warrior approaches the group. He is massive, at least 7ft tall, and carries a magical blade. He sits down with the group. Hawk makes room and greets him.*
[Razian] Hello, Hawk. Need some muscle for the team or just another killer. If so Razian is at your service.
The Green Legion
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 22, 2002
how do you know that i am not that age how do you know that i have battled that much in my own world i am a stranger here so do not judge what you do not understand
The Green Legion
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 22, 2002
[N'kai] Hello, Razian. Hawk, I assume you'll babysit him...
[Hawk] *looks up at the giant warrior.* He's a big lad, he can look after himself, N'kai... Unlike me, I need beer to keep me company. If you'll excuse me.
*Hawk gets up and leaves.*
[N'kai] I have had enough of this pitiful argument, Phoniex. When battle is joined, you will see my might... and you will learn some respect for those of greater worth than you...
[Gryphon] Let's not start that again. Look, Phoniex, I'm telling you this as a friend. N'kai's good. The only one who could possibly come close to him is Tal'Set, but even he admits N'kai is better. Don't get him mad. He's killed tougher things than you. Just accept defeat. N'kai has never, ever lost a battle, be it of the mind, or of force of arms.
*Gryphon gets up to find some food. N'kai turns to Razian.*
[N'kai] Go sort the marching order. I still have things to take care of.
*After Razian leaves, N'kai turns to Phoniex.*
[N'kai] How old, then, are you Phoniex? Not that I care. My life has given me experience enough to know prowess does not come with skill...
The Green Legion
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 22, 2002
to put a scale on my age is hard as i age differently to most i think im 4000 years old but i am not sure. most of you think n'kai is better than me which maybe true but do not judge something before you see it in action.
*phoniex then walks into a tent that springs up*

Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 22, 2002
*As day breaks, the army begins the march anew. Gryphon arranged for Phoniex to ride up-front with the Cavelry, along side a young Knight named James Dragonheart.
James is young, about 16 years old, and yet he is already a Knight Errant (first level rank). He looks a lot like his father, and has the same prowd, headstrong, never-say-die attitude that's made him a brilliant warrior.*
[James] So, you're the one N'kai hates huh? Don't feel bad, he hates everyone, except maybe Tal'Set. Don't worry, though, if he gives you any trouble then just tell me, and I'll sort him out...
*He looks over at her, Phoniex gets the feeling he might be trying to hit on her.*

i can look after myself. n'kai is no threat to me he will leave me alone if i ignore him. this world is strange to me but im learning. there is one thing that confuses me, n'kai is royalty isnt he im not sure

Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 22, 2002
[James] Oh yeah, apparantly. They say he's the true heir to the Throne of the Phoenix King, and so ruler of all Gaia! Of course, the Phoenix King only rules the High Elves now, and he really don't like Elves for some reason... He keeps saying; "They are worthless vermin, who do not deserve life." Talk about family troubles...

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 22, 2002
phoenix ive heard of that. royalty is hard i can vouch for it
The Green Legion
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 22, 2002
[James] Yeah, Dad says it's easier at the bottom, you just kill people and get praised for it...
*There's a hint in James' voice that suggests he'd much rather be at the top than the bottom.*

The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 22, 2002
its not always easier to be at the top, i had to live 3,000 years of my life in court with nobles fussing over me
The Green Legion
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 22, 2002

Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Dec 22, 2002
[James] I'm James Dragonheart, Knight Errant of Evad. Dragon Knights Order. My Dad's John Dragonheart, Knight Baron, one of the best in the business. I'm decended from one of Nuln's nine captains. I'm as close to royalty as Evad has. How about you?
