I really love this series, although I don't suppose many other people will have heard of it. Anyway, I watched the video last night and was inspired to write an article.....

Me, I've heard of them, Dastardly!
However, I think I only ever saw one episode. My goddaughter was brought up on them, so I shall mail the page to her for comments.
As I'm not really qualified to comment on the content (and I only skimmed it - but nothing jumped out as needing changing), the only comment I have at the moment is to remind you that we in the UK will know who Terry Wogan is - I'm not sure if anyone else will know though!
I did think that Tidyup looked like a broom handle - am I wrong?
Looks good, BTW.

Now I need to find a definition for Terry Wogan

Seems good to me, I hadn't heard of the series at all before so I was completly new to it all. As I'd never seen the characters before I think I'd have liked to have a link to the above site while I was reading the entry.

Well, the first line links to the homepage at
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/3477/sandt/sandt.html
so it seemed daft to include what was basically the same link again. Besides, this way people might visit the the sounds

That sounds like a fantastic series! Wow. I loved this Entry, and I usually would have a hard time reading about a TV programme I've never seen.
One question - in reference to Wash-Your-Face - what are 'wellies'? I visited the characters link, and my guess is that they're the boots, but I'm not certain. That's not a word that's commonly used where I come from.

I loved this program, we were talking about it the other day in the pub (the local quiz has a very strange cartoon round). Thanks for writing it.

Great stuff. Nice entry - lots of nostalgia
To be really pedantic, I found a couple of typos:
Eat-your Greens: Charcter=Character
Say-Please: obiously=obviously
And the Editors won't look kindly on the last footnote, but otherwise - wow - I'd forgotten all about this cartoon.

OK, Dastardly, having seen the picture I agree with you about TidyUp. You must remember, it was a long time ago when I last saw it.
I see you kopped out of describing Terry Wogan then . He used to be on TV and radio so often, he said of himself 'I want to be like wallpaper - always there'. How could you describe the man who compered the Eurovision Song Contest? Better not to try! (Now there's a challenge for someone!)

Thanks for the feedback. It's nice to know someone else remembers, too.
Wellies are Wellington boots - waterproof knee/calf high boots, mainly for kids and the landed gentry. Footnote added.
Admittedly the last footnote will probably be scrapped if it gets in, but I'd like to keep it in this unedited version because it's so, so, true...I'm yawning just thinking about him. Mind you, I'm pretty tired, so that might explain it.
Wogan...sorry, don't get you (see aforementioned tiredness)- what's up with the footnote?

Looks good by me! Likewise, I am one of those people who knows nothing about Stoppit and Tidyup, but the writing seems fine.

I love this cartoon: but to be pedantic, there was a spelling mistake in it, but I can't find it anymore! Got to dig out a book I used to have....
