*From the dark bowels of the far corner of the room a distinct noise is heard. If one were to take a close look at the debris of discarded wine bottles and cigarette butts, one would clearly make out cloven hoof prints in the months old dust. Scattered among the remains of a bronze statue to GodBen and EvilClaw's wallet, one might also notice a worn and faded business card, the kind of an era gone by. Printed on the card, in barely legible script, are the words:

PERCIVAL THE
TEA BUTLER TO THE STARS

'BAAAHAA-AAAHAA' says Percival.

'BAAAAAAHAAAA - AAAAAHAAAAA'

*wakes up, tries to stand up, bangs her head at the table*

What happened?

*A muffled voice can be heard from what appears to be a dust-covered blanket behind the sofa*

Nothing happened. That's exactly the problem.

I'd suggest a temporary stasis, but that doesn't explain the dust. Also, I'm not sure how temporary stasises work, or where they come from. Or what the actual plural form of 'stasis' is. Stases?

But since we're here, and we've never had any stasis cells or whatever to go into, that kinda rules up any catastrophic possibilities, doesn't it?

Seriously, though, it's pretty sad.

Out of the old regulars here, the only one I actually know what's going on with is Dan (Nuke) and he's been locked out because of the BBCid thing.
Haikeeba has vanished. I actually tried writing him some time ago, but either he doesn't use that email address anymore, or he doesn't care.
GodBen got banned, and later on decided he doesn't want anything to do with any of the h2g2 people because of some personal stuff, so no idea what he's up to nowadays.
TB is dead.
Jack... don't really wanna think about it, but he's been pretty sick some years ago. Either he's gone too or he got better but lost interest and that's why he's not back ( I'd rather think it's the latter of course).
EvilClaw seems to have also vanished off the face of h2g2. As have a bunch of other regulars.

This place just ain't what it used to be.

I think I heard of Anole a few times after things got quiet, but that was also a long time ago.

Well, maybe some of the people will come back. Maybe after the move. Maybe we'll all have crazy weird adventures like we used to.

I really hope so. So many people are gone.

And I didn't realize how long we are here already.

It really is nice to see people coming back.
Things may never be the same way they used to, but they can still be great.

We just need a few more members to return/join, and we could go look for someone to conquer...

Maybe we could attack the Thingites, I think they are still there. No idea who else.

Well, as far as I remember, I think the way we used to do this before was actually to find somewhere that was no longer active, and claim it. Which would mean we have quite a lot of opportunities now...

But of course, if there's just the 3-4 of us, there's a limit to the amount of fun we can have, whether there is somebody to fight or not.

There's definitely a lot of choice now. I'd prefer somewhere less dusty than here. We could maybe get more than three places for each of that... quite lonely and depressing somehow.
