Croz - I eventually got some work when I signed up with a temping agency (like Granny told me to). I'd had trouble with agency work before, so I just resolved to reject any crap jobs they offered, but they found me a pretty good one so I didn't have to. My agency's Manpower, who I think are nationwide. Admittedly I've only had limited experience of them, but the only problem I've had is that the woman who deals with me talks at an annoyingly high volume. That problem may or may not be endemic.
