I have two nominations for the Wilde Awards for the second half of April. Any others are welcome.... 1. Just zis guy, you know? Post number 18 at... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F88910?thread=180743&latest=1 2. Tefkat. Post 4 at... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F19585?thread=179646 Both these are wit rather than eloquence, but they're my top two that I've noticed. Please feel free to post others! Otto

Can't think of any, Otto. I had restricted net access last month, but should have more time in May. I like Just Zis Guy's comment

* votes for JzG *
How's about keeping Tefkat for next week?
"[believed] In the omnipotence of Science (and my own omnipotence as a Scientist)." is great too!

JzG seems better.
Tefcat's line would have been stronger if she had mentioned her IMpotence as a scientist.
Could not find a suitable candidate myself.

Hi all,
Thanks for your votes. I make that three in favour of JZG, plus me equals four, which is a majority of academy members. If everyone's in agreement, I'll update the page and inform JZG tomorrow. If there are any other nominations, we can carry them over to next month / fortnight / whatever.
I'm told that some graphics are on the way

This one's *great* but has two problems:
(a) Colonel Sellers U49720 has left the building
(b) I can't provide a link as I found the quote somewhere on my hard disk:
>>
That said, I think it is important that everyone realize that nothing in this page should be taken literally, or seriously. Unless I'm being serious, or literal, which is literally impossible, for I have a serious problem with being literal. Seriously.

which raises a question: do we award prizes, er... post-humourously?
Key: Complain about this post
