Weeeeeeell, I guess that could be okay.
But no cowboys, and everything must be it's real colour or a colour close enough to it. Not like a green Darth Vader or anything(example, Darth Vader would be better purple)

Oh no, having baseball instead of cricket just would not do. I mean, "The night sky over the planet Bassbawl is the least interesting site in the entire universe" is missing something important....

are you serious about that baceball thing? you're kidding right? cause the copy i got was published by pocket books and never mentioned baceball. or ford mustang. who published that version?

Baaboy Posted Jun 12, 1999
Now look Dumbo, (and I don't mean the Disneyfied elephant whose ears got bigger when he sneezed).
Nothing was changed in the version published by pocket books because they are not allowed to change anything. A little something called publishing rights.
And you, Mr. Madmunk, bassbawl would be spelt B.A.S.E.B.A.L.L. Because the Americans would not be able to fathom the reason for changing the spelling as a simple act of comedy.

i reside in america and understood just fine. also, i understand pocket books version dosen't use the changes cause i have my copy siting not more than one foot away. i wanted to know who published the changed version. if no changed version was published, why even mension "americanizing" it since it hasn't happened so far?

Reason? For a laugh, basically.
And just because you're paranoid it don't mean they're not after you.

I've lived near Hollywood. I've been in Hollywood many times. Batman and Superman live on the East Coast, and so does Wonder Woman. It isn't that great a place if you are constantly there, nice if you are a toursit tho.

Brox you glorified Numbat! No version of the book was ever published with changes in it, we were just speculating on the fact that there might possibly be a movie done by the yanks that would have americanised changes coz they do it with everything else.
And I really don't like people who think that they're right so they get picky. Hmph.

ok, sorry you don't have to sulk! you know theonly reason it ends up that way cause of the few slow witted people who wouldn't get things like...say...fish & chips refering to french fries and not potato chips.

Americans are quite stupid like that, aren't they?
They call muffins(english) biscuits, dry biscuits(ie. saladas) are crackers, sweet biscuits(ie. chocolate, sugary etc.) are called cookies, and snags are called frankfurts! Of course, it could just be us...

no. unfortunatly for some reason the larger, smarter perscent of the population tend to sit by as the stupid minority spout off thinking they're in control, thus making us the "siglent masses" who are unheard while the decision making group talk unendlessly about what they think is the right cource of action. i think this was origanally done so we could all have a big laugh as they stuck forks in toasters or thought of programing the numbers 00 to equal the year 1900. because they never stop talking they feel it nessicarry to speek louder than everyone else so that when one of us says, "are you sure this is such a good idea?" we are compleatly ignored.

Oh, come on. Don't kid yourselves.
without us, you would be nothing. You need someone to control you and lead you down the right path. You can always squabble amongst yourselves now and then, just don't pull us into it. If you're not happy with the way things are, TOUGH!!

appearances don't always tie into genetics. for example, prince charles and h ross perot. both have elephant ears and possibally both embread but they are not siblings.

Baaboy Posted Jun 23, 1999
hmmm, yeah, but usually siblings have some features in common, especially long lost siblings.
