Having had both Indian and Black boyfriends in my past, I have to say it's never been a problem. People don't seem to mind. Having walked along many a street holding hands, I think it's possibly the fact that it's two young teenagers (at the time, we were) who were both boys holding hands that held more 'goodness!' value than the fact that one's white and the other is indian/black.
The people who would probably have the most to say about it would be my parents. Since they don't know i'm gay to start with, having a black or asian boyfriend would just compound matters, since they're very very conservative.
Reactions within the gay community aren't. Since homophobia is still sadly rife in society (although thankfully becoming less and less so), rascism would just be hypocritical...
While I was going out with those people, my friends were very supportive, and I love them all dearly for that support. One of them told me that people wouldn't deal very well with the two of us, so I was prepared to take some stick. But it's nice to report that none ever came from it.
