A Conversation for Talking Point: Much Missed TV

I don't know if it ever got to the UK, but an American series made by HBO that I miss was called 'Carnivale'.
On one level it was about a poor team or carnies making their way across the US during the depression years. On another level (stick with me on this one) it was a battle against good and evil, free will and destiny, God and Devil!
It was axed after 2 seasons with no resolution to its (obviously) epic storyline.

Sounds good - one of the great unfinished TV series. We're still reeling from Heroes being cut off in its, well, if we're being generous, prime. Mind you it felt like we were the only people still watching it. There's talk of a Heroes movie, we hear, but then there always is...

Indeed - I have this on DVD, but I'm not sure what obscure corner, if any, it broadcast in within the UK. Probably one of the channels you don't find unless you're really searching.
