A couple of typos I noticed:
They then started cooking a simlar cake > similar
The cake was infact saved... >in fact.
I'll read this in more depth later.

Are you absolutely positive about the ban?
According to Queen Victoria's diaries they enjoyed celebrating 12th night and I can find no mention of a ban apart from during the Interregnum of Oliver Cromwell.
'The English tradition of marking Twelfth Night on January 6th was kept up with plays and music (some by Victoria's favourite living composer, Mendelssohn), a special Twelfth Cake, and a game of grabbing raisins from a dish of burning brandy which would end when someone threw salt on the dish to produce a vivid yellow flame.'
Also, perhaps you could include a reference or link to the university project pages? They do cover quite a bit of the history, too.
Finally, are you also going to provide a recipe for the icings?

"Over time with people adding more and more fruit to the mixture it turned into a pudding. And is now the Christmas pudding we eat today."
I would suggest changing this to
Over time people added more and more fruit to the mixture and it turned into a pudding. This is the Christmas pudding we eat today."
When you refer to the Reformation leading to the ban, you don't explain how.

Sorry, I mean with the Reformation leading to 12th night being viewed as to do with mischief.
Also, it should be capitalised -> Reformation of the Church. Or just the Reformation.
Finally, I'd suggest that the title would be better as simply "Christmas Cake" because it's not just about the history of Christmas Cake.

OK, again, I see why you've called it that. Otherwise it would appear to clash with GB's entry. What to do then?

it was the partisans (I suspect I've spelt that wrong) who got 12th night banned and were responsible for the reforms in the church.
I'll sort it out tomorrow guys
