A Conversation for Harvey, the 6 Foot Tall Invisible Rabbit’s "Rock Era" Songs Tournament
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
elwood Posted Feb 11, 2002
Uh oh! I was caught asking Guardian Angel type questions
of someone other than my Guardian Angel by my Guardian Angel!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Ottox Posted Feb 11, 2002
Not at all. You were asking a Guru Guru type questions.
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Shea the Sarcastic Posted Feb 11, 2002
Nah ... those could have been ACE or GURU questions too ... and Ottox is all 3!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
elwood Posted Feb 11, 2002
Your answer was quite welcome! I'm just jealous for all the titles you have acquired here.
I'm just QuoteQuiz QuizMaster and Harvey's pal!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Ottox Posted Feb 11, 2002
If it was up to me, you were welcome to have that Herald title. I've had no fun with that for a long time.
And I've often thought about handing in my Ace badge. Take that too, if you want.
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Shea the Sarcastic Posted Feb 12, 2002
Ottox, you've got a lot of knowledge, and you're very good at sharing it! People appreciate it. I know I do! I've learned a lot from you!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!

AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
elwood Posted Feb 16, 2002
Hi Ottox I was hoping to get your votes before I counted since you were so involved all along. So I recind the deadline until I hear from you or end of day Sunday.
Take care!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Ottox Posted Feb 18, 2002
The most difficult part of staying away was that I couldn't vote here.
Love is the Drug
Satisfaction
Smells Like Teen Spirit
Once In a Lifetime
I'm a loser...
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
elwood Posted Feb 18, 2002
Were you being held hostage?
Thanks for the vote! You broke a critical tie in bracket 4.
Glad you got in before the final count I've been held up at work!
Thank you again!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!

AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Ottox Posted Feb 19, 2002
Anyone who has been looking at my last post should be able to tell what I'll vote for!
My favourites haven't been here for days and days. Good taste seems to be missing in too many of the other threads!
So.... Satisfaction and GO TALKINGHEADS! GO! Once In a Lifetime!
How the can Johnny B. in the semi-final when there were so many great songs when we started????
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
elwood Posted Feb 19, 2002
I've been wondering that for a few rounds myself???
My favorites are also gone.
Thanks for your semi-final votes!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!

HERE'S THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!!!
After 62 matches the final two left standing are a bit of a surprise to me, being that they are both from the very beginnings of Rock n Roll in the 1950s. There is an arguement for many other songs to be here other than these, but somehow it seems fitting that two of the founding fathers should face off for the title.
So here goes-
Johnny B. Goode – Chuck Berry
vs.
Jailhouse Rock – Elvis Presley
Thank you for making this so much fun!
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
Ottox Posted Feb 23, 2002
Tragic.
That's all I can say.
Who *are* these people?
*leaves the quiz shaking his head*
*from a distance can be heard: Oh well, of those two it *must* be Elvis*
AAAARGH!!! I won't play!
elwood Posted Feb 23, 2002
*straining to hear with his tinitus affected 42 year old ears*
You've swell elf lips?
Well thanks. Yours are fairly hobbitish.
