A Conversation for Talking Point: What's the Silliest Thing...
Babies of the Apocalypse

Not embarrassing, because I meant to do it.
Last day of proper school before exams- everyone, that is EVERYone, went down the pool to drink. Fools! this did not appeal to me and a couple of likeminded friends, so we went to town in fancy dress. We had redesigned the Horsemen of the Apocalypse as babies (on Tricycles of Doom, no less) and added 3 more: Needless Sarcasm, Irrational Anxiety and Chaos, who was orange. (This was 1998, long before Terry Pratchett came up with that one! just so's you know.) I couldn't find any male willing to wear a nappy or romper suit, so we had to do without Pestilence and Famine; only War, Chaos and Death went a-shopping. Superb! I even had a scythe, cardboard and curtain pole, which we named Yorrick. However, Baby War- being a complete moon- refused to wear the army hat or carry the wooden sword, so she was something of a no-show. We got a total of 4 remarks: 'Nice scythe', 'Go away, I'm not ready for you', 'Do you want a hit list?' and 'What are you, a publicity stunt?' (from sweet old woman who I was somewhat un-eager to answer 'No, I am the symbolic representation of Death in baby form.')
We lost the pictures tho.

I could always recreate the phenomenon, tho. (Minus moony War, and with additional new faces.) Or post the original BoA concept sketches somewhere they could be admired by all.

There will be lots of pictures by me, including all the Babies, on my soon-to-be-website. Promise.
