I *could* blame the Stones for Aerosmith... or the Beatles for Embrace / Oasis etc... or Radiohead for Muse / Coldplay etc...
But I actually like all those bands. I was only giving a reason why *I* don't like ABBA. It doesn't have to be empirical. People can like ABBA if they want to, that's fine by me.

I don't dislike Aerosmith as much as ABBA / Steps etc...

No, because you lumped ABBA, one of the best groups in all of history, in with Steps, who are clearly one of the worst.

Elvis Costello listened to Abba on his 'This Year's Model' tour bus and that's good enough for me.
I like good songs, no matter who is singing them. Unless it is Leonard Nimoy...but that's a whole 'nother matter.
