First we have to send it to a sub (usually a couple of days after you get the message in this Conversation that the entry has been accepted for inclusion in the Edited Guide), and that sub has a batch of four entries that they have four weeks to edit. Some take a matter of days, others take four weeks.
Then we allocate the entry in the in-hpuse queue and then it is published on the Front Page.

Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
Sub Calling!
GTBacchus Posted Jul 29, 2002
Hello everyone!
Hi CK, howzitgoin? I'm GTBacchus, and I'll be your Sub Editor this evening. I see that this will be your first entry in the Edited Guide. Well, congratulations! It's a darn good one, IMO.
Just to let you know what's going on, I've got a copy of your entry at A789942. That's the copy I'm editing, and that's the one that will go to the Front Page soon.
Your original copy, meanwhile, is yours to keep forever, and none of us Subs or Italics (, , etc) can get our grubby little hands on it.
Feel free to drop by A789942 and see what I'm doing. So far, I've just been tweaking the GuideML here and there, and frankly, learning how works. I didn't know a tenth of that stuff when I got up this morning.
It occurs to me I should sub this to look like the Help Pages. That might take me a little while. I imagine I'll be mostly done by next weekend (3 August or so). I've just read through this thread and I gather the moving parts *are* staying in, yes? If CK, or someone else more familiar than I with , could check and make sure they're all working properly, that would be super.
Meanwhile, thanks CK, for a most excellent entry, and thanks as always to the helpful friendly Peer Reviewers!
