Well more then likely that is how I will get down there weather it is rental van or a car rental...so you can put me down as a definite..so no worries amy Paul will have a ride no matter what happens with people's flight decisions I think Shea expressed an intrest also so we will see

Oops, missed the message yesterday Amy. Anyway, I'm not sure what I said, but travelling to Buffalo would be fine, but much further would just be too much.

Really? Where are you travelling from? I don't want you to go miles out of your way just for me.

Well some of us are planning on driving down from our respective places in NY...and if there is more then one car then we can put some on the pick up people at the airport run and others on the pick someone up from buffalo run...plus there is another reserch that might be talked into coming that would be coming down from northern NY that might have an easiy enough time with a little stop along the way...We will need to start getting an idea when flights will be coming in and what not about at least a couple of weeks if not a month before hand so those of us getting the rental cars will know how many and what sise and all that...and we will be able to figure out all that good stuff

Then I'll hop in here! I don't have any time off left this year. Because of that, I don't think TJ and I will be able to drive there until very late Poets or early Doobry (translation: Fri. & Sat.).

So... If I do end up being able to come, what arrival times should I look for? I'm guessing I should go for Friday the 2nd...

Hi, Amy.
Were you going to drive or fly?
(Assuming that you could afford to come at all)
(Also assuming that I haven't gone and gotten
you mixed up with another researcher who
just lost her job )

But really, this may not be rhetorical: Should I look at prices for morning, or afternoon landings in New York? If morining, early morning? Or maybe late Thursday night? But then where to spend the rest of the night?

Paul,
Do you know when your bus would be comeing in to NY....(I think that's how you said you would get down)

Tacsatduck:
If you were leaving from New York City
proper, I would come by bus. If you were leaving
from Connecticut or Long Island, I might be
tempted to drive (there's a researcher in
Goshen, Connecticut who has asked to ride
with me). So, I need to know where you'd be
leaving from before I could make travel plans.
In any event, I would hope to come down on
Friday.

Me, Myself, I, The Old Coot In My Closet, And The Incomparable Id [Call me "Id" for short.] Posted May 16, 2002
Interesting news! Not only is the weekend in question my seventeenth birthday (August Third at 2pm), but there's a chance I might be able to come, albeit dragging my entire family along with me! I'd drag Alexandra and George, too, if at all possible. So put me on the list . . . . we'd be driving from NJ if we could make it, but with a full car. (My family and two extras.)
I'm rather excited . . . I want to see the Met Meet folks again and meet more people and finally get to meed The Theory!
Id
(P.S. I vote for Hershey or the battlefield. )

Then you need to get working on Theory as well, giving him ideas of how to get his parents to let him go... After all, he lives in the same town as the + family!

So, Shea and TJ are driving down on Saturday, Baggy and John are driving from Ontario, Paul and Galen would be coming from......somewhere that's not New York, and Id and a whole bunch of others (I'm tired, OK? Dead slow afternoon...) will be driving down from Jersey...
Anyone besides Tac and I driving down from New York on Friday? Maybe I should work on convincing Happy and 2legs into flying into New York instead of Harrisburg, so they can ride with us...

Shea the Sarcastic Posted Jun 10, 2002
So you're not staying with us on Friday? And the rental van thing is scratched? Have I not been paying close enough attention?
