Lets be honest insofar as Who continues to be a flagship ratings winner there is little chance they will let a continuity thing end it.

But they could have such fun playing with a potential end, IMHO, they would be mad not to.

It would be easier all round if the current one stayed. For ever!
No more change, don't like change, change is bad.

btw, in every series so far, the Big Baddies have appeared in the finale - including season 1 (where the Daleks appearing was a surprise) and season 2 (where the Daleks appearing was a surprise but the Cybermen weren't).

So what chance the Sontarans cropping up again? Or the Daleks, for that matter? I see that penultimate episode title still hasn't been released...

Yes, I was of the opinion that we'd see the Sontarans again for exactly that reason. You don't go making a bunch of costumes to only use them in one story. Even the Slitheen (fat "people" in series 1) got to make a second appearance.

As for the Daleks they're in. Check the trailer for series 4. I put a link in my post circa #542.

well, personally I say they skip the next two generations and jump straight to the valyard - a series (or several) of evil Doctor Who would be most fun I think smiley - smiley

From that trailer, it looks like every Who villain ever might be hving a big fight!

(And possibly with Davros too, according to his Wikipedia entry.)

Guaranteed. I bought my daughter a copy of "Doctor Who Adventures" magazine yesterday ... on the "This Week's Secrets ... What's Next?" page ...

"Daleks. Big news! Our favourite monsters, the Daleks, are set to return! But we thought there was only one Dalek still alive. Where exactly did Dalek Caan disappear to at the end of Evolution of the Daleks? Get ready to find out ..."

Me, Me, Me, plese Sir I know the answer!!
.
THAT woman's acting is so wooden it is almost metalic, she sounds like a Dalek too with her monotonous drone so Tate is really a metal Dalek ready to take over the world!

Not everyone fawns over Tate on here, in fact a few posts back if I recal correctly someone said they have stopped watching Who due to her. Her acting is poor and I find her monotonous, I find her to be exactly the same as when she does commedy during which she was also very limited. Her commedy is repetative and repeats a lot of similar things.
If some people find her fantastic, so be it, however I retain the right to point out how I find her and look forward to when her time on Who ends.

I find her irritating here and there but prefer to reserve judgement as overall I've found her at least innofensive and occasionally I've even warmed to her smiley - smiley

personally I find her OK providing she doesn't try to 'act' the emotions 'surprise, shock, awe, bewilderment, anger' as she only has one method for these and it is basically the OTT comedy characters.

She's not too bad at emotional sad though. Or excitement. Not as bad as I thought she'd be, but a degree worse than almost any other actor on the show. Not, to my mind, a particularly worthwhile addition to the cast, but she hasn't spoilt it irredeemably for me.

She's improved over the course of the season - but she's still my least-favourite companion of the New Series.

I reserve the right to change my mind if she does something irredeemably smiley - cool in the finale, like being evil. smiley - monster

Ictoan, yes that is it, she doesn't seem to be able act ike a normal actor does. She is like if you pulled a non actor off the street and asked them to act. I also find her body language acting to be odd, she is either OTT or stands like a wooden board, perhaps where the expression wooden came from.
There has been a rumour for sometime that another commedy type person will take over as the doctor, was it Eddie Izzard(sp?)? I fear that would be the end for me for watching Who as sometimes struggle to retain interest to end of series as is.

I'm sure some would say it was already on the way down, but the original series seriously went down the pan when they put Sylvester McCoy in as The Doctor, and Bonnie Langford as a companion.

As for Tate ... she comes from the Will Smith school of acting ...

Aw, leave Mr. Smith out of this... He looks good in a sharp suit or a flight suit so leave him be, k!?
