And the obligatory RTD gay reference was just weird and strange and quite funny in a: "What?" sort of way.

Congrats to RTD for nailing Matt Smith's Dr and also keeping the mawkishness to a minimum. Luckily the mawkishness worked since it was about someone who had supposedly died and people who we assume have died and people who may die.

And Smith was just superb as usual...give him another season or so and I think people will love him just as much as Tennant...though I just knew he was going to good from the first interview he did in the introductory programme revealing him.

The reason why "The Sarah Janesmiley - sadfaceAdventures of a MILF)" is such a good series is basically what J. Michael Straczynski said about the difference between US & UK sci-fi...budget.

UK sci-fi used to have far smaller budgets than US sci-fi and hence had to rely on characterisation e.g. Blakes 7 etc the Yanks could mask poorer stories with CGI and effects.

Dr Who these days can use more CGI and have slimmer stories. SJ(A of a MILF) hsa to rely more on characterisation and creepy baddies due to the smaller budgets just like the old Dr Who eps which is why I like them so much.

Bradley Walsh as a clown creepier than Pennywise, the Nightmare Man in the first story of this season, even Russ Abbott's character was creepy as well (not saying Abbott is a poor actor he's very good but his character in SJ(A of a MILF) was very pedestrian in it's set-up which made it even better.

I'm really looking forward to Lenny Henry's appearance, comedians can do drama so well especially the slightly over the top stuff that SJ(A of a MILF) needs.

One wee factet in the show was when the Dr was supposed to say 'Amy and Rory' but said 'Amy and ...' he did not mention Rory which was very strange since he mentioned Rory in Dr Who by name after Rory had been deleted from history. Is that RTD just being naughty?

Darn smileys!

"The reason why "The Sarah Janesmiley - sadface Adventures of a MILF)"

should read as

"The reason why "The Sarah Jane: (Adventures of a MILF)"

Sarah Jane should only ever be followed by a smiley - drool smiley.

When is the anniversary, then? For thigns like this, you need at least a year to create it, from planning to broadcast, so if it's 2011 there might be trouble.

Felt in a nostalgic mood and I'm watching S4's Library 2-parter and it's quite cooling watching it and knowing more about River.

I really, really hope they show us the Doctor's last scene with River, when he takes her to see the Singing Towers of Durillium, I can just picture Matt Smith being spectacularly good.

Is anyone watching the 26 part K9 series on Channel 5? I nearly missed the first ep cos I only found out about it literally as it was starting. The familiar K9 model self destructed and regenerated into a new design with a convenient memory lapse. Oh, and it flies now...and it's in London in the future. Not sure about it yet, it's a bit to early to make a judgement. Next ep is tomorrow morning at 11.10am if you are interested. smiley - tardis

Assume it's the same as this ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F79498?thread=7746065 I will probably take a look to see.

Yes, that's the one. The first lines that K9 has after the regeneration make him sound more naff than he actually is (which is good because I'm a completeist and 26 eps is a long haul if it's pants). When he does the location orientation flight thing he sounds like he's on drugs. It was a pointless thing to do anyway as he could have just asked someone where he was. smiley - tardis

Anyone fancy a crack at SFX's Doctor Who puzzle?

http://www.sfx.co.uk/2010/12/20/doctor-who-puzzle/

The picture contains the titles of 65 Who stories. They give you 'Dragonfire' to get started.

I've found a few, but nowhere near enough.

Don't get all the drums stuff, and I'm sure there are some Dalek ones I'm missing...
