Ooooh, ooh, is number 10 Lawrence of Arabia?
I'll 'fess up and say that I saw it on a quiz elsewhere on the BBC site (again, it looks reversed, as does the N by NW one)

1. Darth Vader to Princess Leia in Star Wars "This is NOT an ambassadorial ship, you are a member of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor to the Empire", or some such nonsense.
2. North by North West
3. The Exorcist
4. Debbie Does Dallas?
5. Good Bad and Ugly?
6. Seven Year Itch?
7. Titanic - Kate Winslet being pushed off the ship by Leo (well, nearly)
8. Valkyrie?
9. The Godfather
10. Avatar

Interesting guesses, Matt.
Can you be a bit more specific on picture 1?

Sorry Icy, forgot to mention Darth's shoe size. 13 and 3/4 I believe.

While we're all in cinematic frame (geddit?) of mind, here's that other quiz I mentioned. See what you think about Lawrence for Icy's #10

No 4 is the end of Life of Brian
No 3 High Noon or John Travolta walking down the street near the start of Saturday Night Fever
No 2 N by NW
No 8 ?Pulp Fiction?
No 9 The Godfather
No 7 Titanic
Blimey!

I found it fascinating how the "feel" of the scenes was easy to recognise, even if we didn't spot the actual picture. Most of us guessed that the High Noon pic was a cowboy movie, and even though I guessed wrongly at French Lieutenants Woman and The Piano for what was actually the Titanic one, they all had the sea in the background.
Still working on the Spot-the-Sports one!
