Chatting, ideas and so forth here ta.
Sign up in the 'I'll be there with Sleigh Bells on' thread
Ok, so far, the only ideas put forward are naturally beers somewhere, probably taking up the late afternoon and on into the evening and basically as late as we can manage
Other potentials are lunch, xmas or otherwise, probably with beers and then off to the pub for beers.
I had tried the SECC site to see when the Carnival starts, but there was no mention of it. I think it starts in mid December anyway
So any other ideas?

But I like sprouts!
If'n, I'm coming I would suggest LaserQuest or bowling or something for the beginning of the day. Or do we fancy being museumy? I'd probably be turning up on the Friday night and I will need to do something other than drink
And no, that does not include getting stuck in a lift!

Urg. Sprouts. Testicles of the Devil so they are
BTW, has anyone dropped a line to Shazz about this yet?

Sprouts? So it is Christmas then. Cliff Richard anyone?
Having experienced the BBC Experience at the London summer meet, my feeling is that we probably want to do something with a bit more audience participation than a museum type thingy. Unless, of course, you know better. *ducks behind for safety*

Well it's a good job the Old Firm game got put back 24 hours or you'ld have got all the participation you wanted
The carnival's 21st December, but it mught be worth keeping an eye on George Square. They're doing a bigger skating rink this year. Hopefully with a pub again, for us poor arthritis-sufferers who can only bend an elbow.

Ooh... is there a Laserquest in Glesga?8-) That'd be fun again... followed by a nice long soak in a jacuzzi, before the realisation of how strenuous it was sets in.

Great ideas so far.
Is there a laserquest in town? The only one I remember is at Clydebank.
Bowling just off Clydeside Express? (or is it nearer Helensburgh )
Ice skating? Falling over, wet bums. Cold. Possible then
I'll add the ideas to the page when I revamp it today or tomorrow.

Laser Quest is (or certainly was) on Argyle Street, just past Marks and the end of the pedestrian bit. It was on your right. Many is the time I leapt round there impersonating Avon

Heyla
Bowling good idea...went down great in Nodnol anyhow. But I'm equally partial to a bit of Laserquest....or even larfing at folks who wish to fall down a lot and get very wet.
As long as there's alkiefrol....

Okay... so it's Xmas lunch and at some as yet unidentified venue, followed by ice-skating, followed by medicinal
to numb the bruises, followed by Laserquest, followed by some
in a pub, or several pubs, followed by a party at ? house/flat/cardboard box.
Sounds pretty good so far.

*timidly raises his hand*
Does anywhere actually do Xmas lunches in November?

Phil Posted Oct 8, 2001
I've been to an xmas dinner in the middle of march, so I don't see why not.

Well that's me booked the flights. Up on Friday night and back on Sunday lunchtime. The price actually went up fifteen quid in the twenty four hours it took me to decide .
Any old shoes, can anyone recommend accomodation, or am I back in the Travel Inn, hopefully not sharing a bed with Jamie this time around

Was it the
on his breath put you off Munchie?
Should anyone be travelling up from/via the vicinity of Manchester, it looks like there could well be a small gathering on the Friday night too.

What time were you thinking of getting back into the vicinity of Manchester on the Sunday 'Sus?

First public warning to Jamie - drinking at the Xmas meet-up is not acceptable.
Has anyone informed/invited the italics yet?
