Speaking of Newsnight, I watched the part about the Hartlepool bi-election and at the end they gave a list of all the official candidates. One that struck my eye was something to do with a loony party. I've just done a Google search and I found this: http://www.omrlp.com/

I don't know about you, but I'm thinking of joining if there's an Irish chapter.

Ah, yes, the good old Monster Raving Loony Party. Founded by the now sadly deceased (self-appointed) Screaming Lord, David Such.

I printed off their manifesto before the last election. I'm sure I've still got it somewhere.

That party is stark raving genius!!!

Was he? Didn't know that. I do know that its part of the offical MRLP rules that all their candidates *must* loss their deposit. Anyone actually elected to office is dismissed from the party.

Not had much of a chance to look at it yet. It seems interesting. And theres several of the publisher/printer exchange of notes like there was in Nanny Ogg's Cookbook.
