2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

...and talking of things which serve no useful function...
hi. smiley - biggrinsmiley - evilgrin

The was an idea, from memory, first suggested back in about 2002 or 2003, when discussing meets, and people were pondering how on earth h2g2 researchers were meant to be able to talk to each other, in real life, whilst sitting at a table in a pub, without using smileys.... It was suggested we should each print out smileys on laminated paper, and just bring them out and show to other people at the table, each time where what we were saying, required a smiley to work smiley - biggrin I believe... it was origionally aired as a smiley, I.E., with the < > tags enclosing it, in the 'green room relax and unwind' thread... smiley - geek why the eck do I remember this stuff smiley - snork useless... useless information... smiley - snork

It might be a great gimmick - a sort of spiral notebook, with smileys one per page. Wonderful for those moments when people don't get irony or other emotions. I think I'd use it in everyday life.

You mean you don't use smileys in everyday life already?: I have a flick book with all the smiley printed in it, and use it in conversation all the time,
