Was that it then? Or did the engineers not turn up to do the work?!

Maybe it was only daown for a minute or so.. I had problems at around nine o'clock. I think it was just a very quick downtime.

Haven't noticed myself but things are going more smoothly today.

I wasn't around to notice but if it has definitely happened then hopefully it isn't about to happen again while it might crash my computer (it seems to be very sensitive about BBC errors - particularly BBCi Connector which it didn't like at all).

No, I think we've been done!
Everything seems to be running smoother and faster - even on my old hamster-powered machine!

I thought it was already better last night though - ie nothing to do with this morning's change.
I wondered if the weekend's problems had anything to do with F77636?thread=366090 and everyone who hadn't already noticed it rushing off to try ican. In particular, searching for topics perhaps (since it was the use of search which Jim finally worked out was the cause of the horrible spring-summer site slowness).

Ditto; I was getting XML errors and "Service not available" around about every second or third click last night, and I haven't had *any* today.

So far today, I haven't had any problems (touch wood). Although I've still got the negative posts!

How odd that it was running so speedily for me then. I stayed up till well after 3am to get a few things done because it had suddenly started working properly again. Perhaps someone had rebooted the servers and the rest of you had already gone to bed and stopped crashing them.

I wasn't crashing the servers. I could hardly get on long enough to even start crashing them!

Well that was fairly painless. Now the my conversations windows don't give me lots of errors, maybe something is a little happier back there. Maybe it's just they like being rebooted
