How very odd. I was over there only a few days ago. I guess it's the sort of thing which must come up a lot.

On second thoughts I probably migrated around various such (clone) sites because I remember finding penguins last time and now I've lost them.

SEF, his plan to get $50,000 through $1 donations is... well... ongoing, to say the least. Recent totals at: http://savemyhome.cjb.net

Peet, oh dear.
Jim, that's the one! I think I liked Bob best. Somewhere there's a religion devoted to Bob (it's cropped up on site a couple of times). Perhaps someone could tell me if there's an obscure connection to the penguin in either direction.

Incidentally, if you have an Atari ST nearby, note that if you arrange four of the sequential low-numbered characters in the default character set (I think it's CHR$(6)-CHR$(9)) in a 2x2 grid, it forms a portrait of JR "Bob" Dobbs... Spooky.

I can't tell from that how old the Bob thing is. What about any connection or are they completely unrelated? I'm going to pass on signing up to the church of the one true Bob anyway. I just wondered about the dates/provenance of all these things. Bob is pretty important in Black Adder too.
...then there's the whole jellybaby thing...

Thanks Jim, the site must have been rearranged many times over since I found these. I'm so happy they're still there.

There's 'probably' no relation between Bob the Penguin and J.R. Bob Dobbs, deliverer of Slack and Bulldada.
The SubGenius Foundation began in the late 1970's I believe, so Bob the Penguin, 'could' have been named for Bob Dobbs. But I doubt it.
Count Zero, as a Minister in the Church of the Subgenius is choosing Bob the Penguin as his personal saviour of the day.
