When I clic...

Yeah.. But when I found my link to h2g2, it was just called "h2g2".. Now you'll see "Join in the discussion on this subject in The Earth edition of the hitchhiker's guide to life, the universe and everything - H2G2."
Which is wrong - Because its the Earth Edition of the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy

Exactly, but to give it its name, its the "Earth Edition of the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy"
In truth and description, it is indeed a guide to a lot more than just the galaxy

Jim, if you're still reading this...
"Klingons, Vulcans, Daleks, Cybermen - you decide what goes into the Guide at H2G2" - trail after Star Trek:TNG...
I think someone in the trails department is a little off-message...

It sounds like they are trying to get the sci fi lot on here, not that that's a bad thing, but I wish they had warned us about it then there could have been special areas made up for the discussions.
Would they even be allowed to put an article in on klingons? seeing as we were originally told that 'the pan-galactic-gargle-blaster' was not a suitable topic!

Really? I think discussing the Pan-Galactic-Gargle-Blaster, or say, a Sub-Etha Thumb, or even the Infinite Improbabilty Drive (Not h2g2's random entry chooser ) is a great idea!
*discusses it*

Yup. Last time I submitted an article (pre-Rupert) I got a fairly snotty e-mail saying that "The editorial guidelines had changed, and the Guide was no longer interested in entries which were purely fantasy"...
I don't think it's got any easier since then.
(The reason for the is that the article in question was completely non-fiction; a description of a drinking club I'm a member of... A61732 - it took over two months for the rejection to arrive, during which time the guidelines had changed. I've never submitted another article.)

I've yet to actually get my "dreaming and dreams analysis" one completed, and to finish the much needed h2g2 and the internet via a set top entry

I just realised that the video montage accompanying all the trails on BBC TV shows the site in Alibaster, so when a newbie finally hits the front page in Brunel they'll think they mistyped the URL...

Not yet they won't - unless I've missed something - Alabaster's still the default. Brunel will be soon though!

Oh? I read in many threads that Brunel became the default with the upgrade...?

In fact, <./>DontPanic-Prefs#6</.> specifically says "Brunel is the default, but pick the one that you like the best."...
