Would you believe chapstick?

It's true, I swear! I read about it on [url removed by moderator], on their health site. Weird, huh? Some folks can't stand to go anywhere without their favorite chapstick! I'm certainly not addicted (I occasionally remember to wear some when my lips are badly chapped), and I don't know anybody who is, but somehow I believe it. When I think about how some people are these days, I'm really not all that surprised.

I can confirm this--I'm addicted to lip balm myself. I get a lot of flak for it, but when I try to quit, my lips become dry, cracked, and even bloody. It's as if they no longer produce moisture on their own. Oh well, I've just resigned myself to having lips that taste like Dr Pepper all the time. Obviously, I could be addicted to something much worse (I mean, it's just lip blam, for Pete's sake), so I'm thankful.

Ok, that kind of an addiction is one thing, but also: Do you have a large collection of chapsticks? Do you suffer a nervous breakdown if you don't have your favorite flavor?

Just asking...you don't have to answer. I'm just curious.

I think I know exactly what site you were talking about anyway. I don't have a really large collection of chapsticks, but I do have several. Of course, that's mostly because people have given me gift sets, and things like that. I'll use the same stick until it runs out, usually Dr Pepper flavor. I carry it around in my pocket, and I admit, I do get a little crazy if I ever misplace it (which hardly ever happens). If it's across the room, or something, and I need to put it on, I'll be really distracted until I do. My boyfriend doesen't like it very much, but he smokes, so he can't really talk about icky habits.
