American deaths

Although these deaths were an appalling tradgedy and I feel very deeply for all those who have lost family and friends, I feel this is a direct result of American led Globalisation and economic repression of poorer nations. While there is NEVER an excuse for murdering innocent people, the US can not expect to meddle in the affairs of other countries and not suffer resentment by the people of those countries. A common question asked by Americans wherever you go is "Why does everyone hate us?". Perhaps it is time they and their leaders looked at this question carefully and the reasons for that resentment and hatred.

Oh yes, all the horrible aspects of globalisation. I mean, the majority of the people on this planet now have to go out and vote for their government every few years. Wouldn't have had that in the past.

If you hate America, it is as much if not more down to your failings than theirs. If they were acting like the Belgians did in the Congo, say, then they'd deserve it. Screaming green-eyed jealousy at them is going to get any valid points you want to make ignored.

Personally, I feel that invading people's grief to wave slogans is tasteless.

And I bet you went to lay flowers after Diana died too didnt you?
Rational decisions not emotional hysteria is what is needed now.
America is in all likelihood going to launch a massive attack on a people who do not even know where New York is much less what a World trade centre is.
I was not screming green eyed jealousy at anyone and I do not hate America, I just do not believe America is always right and everyone else wrong. Killing more innocent people is not going to bring back the dead.

Nobody's invading anyone - this is a public worldwide website, so there will be people here who care as much about the five thousand dead americans as you care about the who died in . Part of globalisation, in fact.

There are lots of places for grief on h2g2 - this particular thread is perhaps not one of them?
