A little bird at told me that the Hitchhiker DVD is due for region 2 release on 14 January, 2002. I hope you can wait that long, 'cos I know I can't.

That looks good, I just found a description at Blackstar. It looks like it'll have missing scenes, and interviews such as the Tommorrows World "Zaphods Head" sequence. And the Making Of program.
And it confirmed Jan 2002.
