Don't know whether I'll take this to peer reveiw when I've finished it but I'd like it to be as accurate, balanced and helpful as possible so if anyone has any useful comments, please put them here. Thank you.

Yes. I'm gathering information slowly. Problem is finding time. I'll try to add a bit more this evening -- other commitments permitting. The statistics are horrifying. Even the common old starlings and house and tree sparrows numbers have plummeted over recent years.

Done a bit more but I'm not going to have time to do any more to birds and cats this evening.
