That is absolutely spot on GTB!
As for holding down jobs... another interesting observation of the bicameral mind theory is that human physical endurance would have been significantly greater prior to the advent of consciousness. People with a job to do would simply do it until they became physically incapable of further work, then they would stop and eat or sleep, until they were able to begin again. "Boredom", in such a mind, would simply be inconceivable as a concept, there being no "inner life" to tire of the reptition.
This would allow feats of endurance such as building the pyramids or running 26 miles without stopping to report the outcome of a battle - a modern, conscious human who hadn't trained for months would simply stop running if they got out of breath or experienced pain, but Phiddipides (sp?) just carried on, to the point of death.

Fruit of the tree of knowledge! again, spot on. So many of the Biblical myths start to make sense in light of this theory. Adam HEARS the voice of god, but after eating from the tree of knowledge, in Genesis 3:8, he is able to hide himself from God - so well, it seems, that God has to call out to Adam asking where he is. Some omniscient creator, eh? Other Bible myths which tie in well with the upheavals created by the breakdown of the bicameral mind, and subsequent development of consciousness, include the Tower of Babel, the Flood, and the various manifestations of God to people like Moses (the burning bush).

Posting 19 has been removed. I wrote it. It said:

If that's the case, and it could happen tomorrow... can you be certain it didn't happen last week? Are we really that close, and if we are, is 'Justin' really so unbelievable?
There were four other words which have been removed.

As has my post 17. You reckon it's for that reason HVL? Could be, could be. Anywho, it was removed at 17:21 UK time, so it should be reviewed by about 11ish this morning, and we'll see what happens. I (well, Xanthia) had another post removed on Wednesday at 17:48 UK time, which was reinstated the following morning. Perhaps the italics are training up a new squack?

Someone is getting a tad trigger happy me-thinks...
I am tempted to post a series of one-line abuses as an experiment in what is and is not deemed offensive.

Hoovooloo reposted an earlier post that had been hidden (19), minus four words. (three of which were, if I recall, "oh, and yeah").
