The upper sections after J15a, yes maybe. Though I'll probably be about an hour or so behind you.

I guess you must have been coz I did not see you!
Did you enjoy your trip to Sheffield (even if it was a draw)?
Had a wonderfully relaxing time - so chilled out I cant stop sleeping!

Oh I don't know. There are three-all draws and there are three-all draws! That was definitely in the later category
The next big trip is to Derby on Tuesday for a 7:45 kick off. And the weather forecast? Minus three
You can't stop sleeping? What even more than you did before?

'ere, today I've noticed allusions to the fact that you're moving. Is this a Brum or Bedfordshire move? (I'm guessing that it isn't an Oxfordshire one just yet.)

I am good at sleeping (sometimes) just dont get much time for it. Actually to be fair in recent months my sleep pattern has not been good
Derby on Thuesday - thats quite a trect for an evening match
The move here is the move to a bigger rented place in Bedfordshire - we have found a fab house to rent. Its on 4 floors - Its an older property. On ground level there is a nice sitting room / dining room area, wooden floors and a working fireplace. The rooms are not that big but they are big enough and there are lots of built in shelves - not as many as at yours but quite a lot. I may even be able to get some of my books out of boxes . The fireplace has small tiles round it in blue and there are wooden blinds in each room. The kitches is at the back - its small but well designed - a nice beech finish with a really nice splash back - like blue pebbles all different shapes and sizes set in. The celar has been converted in to a fab bathroom with lovely free standing bath - I am looking forard to having a go in that.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms - neither that big, but one with a shower room, and a seperate toilet. We are going to have this floor as our bedroom and a study / come dressing room - so when I get up early to go to Brum I wont need to wake J up.
On the second floor there are the two biggest bedrooms - one each for each of the kids and one large enough that it will be a sitting room / bedroom for them to share. This will mean they have their space and we can sit in peace and quite too
I wish I could afford to start a property empire - it would be far more productive that just living in three places. Anyway with this move at least things should be a little simpler from a practical perspective and actually I am rather looking forward to it
I have been set painting today Good fun.
What are you up to this weekend?

Sure have!
It all went very well and I am quite enjoying living here - company certainly good and its nice to have less places to be! Lots has gone wrong along the way - phone lines non existant as someone had cut them outside the house, problems with the shower (ongoing) a flooded hall - thanks to the shower - no TV ariel when we moved in etc etc, still with the exception of the shower and broadband we are mostly sorted. I have my books here and out (mostly) of boxes which is fab. We have survived a trip to Ikea and even - wait for this - merged the CD collections! How scary is that ...
Had a housewarming party for local friends last week which was fun too.
I have been a bit all over the place with work recently - new job going well but as yet no sense of routine. spent last week in Windsor - learning how to develop people to be coaches - great course but really hard work - I deliver my first programme of that with a couple of other people in a couple of weeks I got a lot from the course and am looking forward to working with the materials some more.
Have also been really busy with the theatre - J is in a play which opens in just under a week and I have been doing props rather than propping up the bar! There is still a lot to do so I guess thats what I will be up to this weekend even though I am shattered!
What has been happening with you? How's work? Portsmouth? Footie? etc ...

Well it's good to know that most things are going right with the move. I know not everything will always go according to planned, and of course if I had your list of problems, the lack of the broadband connection would go top of my list! You must e-mail me your address sometime.
Portsmouth is no more. I decided that it wasn't what I wanted, so I got out before I got in any deeper. It's a shame maybe, but I did it with honest intent. Anyway Alistair is still talking to me, though his wife isn't at the moment.
The job is going much better than it had been going before. The profile has gone up quite dramatically know that the prices equal real money rather than an intellectual box-ticking exercise for the Department of Health. Of course that won't equate to a pay rise, what with the hospital being about £8million in deficit at the moment.
In actual fact talking pay rates. There is a good chance that all the finance staff pay will go down The government are introducing a new unified payscale accross the NHS, and one of the factors in the scale is an individual's direct impact on patient care. Well obviously that is nil in the case of your average accountant, so it will count against us as a staff group. The projected salary drop would be about £7,000 per annum, and the projected vacancy rate immediately after that would be about 100%
I notice you mention 'new job'. What new job? Are you no longer the Probe HR personage? And is so, when did this all change?

I know what you mean about lack of broadband - I had not realise dhow much I had got used to it! However for me the lack of a functioning shower is the top one - I am not a nice person to be around until I have had my shower in the morning and a bath just is not the same!!!
I am sorry that things did not work out for you re Portsmouth - I had hoped they wouold but you know my perspective - being true to yourself is THE most important thing. I am sure you will find what you are looking for when the time is right.
I will email you my current addy - if I have not done so in a few days ping me a mail at work to remind me! I am sooo bad at remembering things at the moment - anyone would think I had more blond streaks than ever which I dont!
Talking of work it does not sound right that they will put your pay doen - infact its heading towards illegal! Normaally they would at minimum have to freeze your pay until you caught up with the scale again if you see what I mean. If you need any 'professional' advice on this let me know ...
Yea I have changed jobs - sorry I thought I had mentioned it. I am now doing a Learning and Development Role for the whole of IT - just as busy but less reactive - so far am really enjoying it. If you want to know more I will bore you with the details on email
So what have you been up to this weekend?
PS what is the UTB after yolur name all about?
