Hi, haven't visited the Lighthouse for a while - just catching up on the cleaning.
How's things - found a new house yet (I took a peek at your jounal entry)?

Hi there Alex - good to see you
Oh thanks for doing the cleaning I have been meaning to get round to it for a while
W**k is going well thanks and overall life is pretty good.
My family have been through a bit of a rough patch since I wrote that entry so I have been supporting them some. It has meant that the hunt has had to go on hold for a little while but when the time is right I will start again
What has been happening with you?

Sorry to hear about family problems. Hope things sort out OK
Been very busy at work this year - actually been in USA with work 3 times so far & will be away again in September. Thus I haven't visited H2G2 much!
Home life's going well otherwise
I see campaign for a smiley hasn't worked yet.
Saw a coffee-table photo book about lighthouses during last US trip & thought of you - but I guessed you might have such already.
Nice to talk again
A

Thanks Alex!
Sounds like a lot of travel! Where about in the US?
I would not be too sure about the campaign

I do have some books etc with pictures of lighthouses and I am flattered you thought of me I also have other pictures, as well as a lighthouse toilet brush holder I was given once!

Arizona in the middle of the desert - not much fun (too hot).
Back out there again next week
Didn't get the book cause it was pretty large & depending on where U live in RL getting it to U could be difficult.
Is that the official smiley on that link? Don't want to be ungrateful, but not sure if I like the dark background.
But hey, we're all lucky to get H2G2 for free so it's worth a celebration

Hi Alex
I have never been to Arizona but I can impagine it is really hot! How long will you be there for?
I think the is official - and will be here with the launch of the new smilies which is soon. I was just getting to like the dark background when it stopped working I actually quite like it - without the dark background it would look a little odd with the light shining out and without the light it might look like a dumpy little pepper pot!
Here let me pass you some more

*Sips *
Last time I was in AZ it reached 40 deg C! I'm only away for just over a week (leaving tomorrow) - I'll tell you al about it when I'm back.
I guess you're right about the I guess it could also look like a Dalek without the background
BTW belated congrats for winning last year's bikini comp. As you've probably noticed, I've been persuaded to enter this year!

I am sure you will do really well in the competition - should have a good tan after you have been away!
